The new Endangered Species Act is expected to come into effect at the
end of June but changes to the language of the bill has municipal leaders up
in arms.
A new regulation could halt all timber harvesting in Ontario and would
put Mills across the North in jeopardy.
Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky says it will also lead to more red tape.
Krassilowsky plans to voice the City’s concerns in writing to the
Premier and is urging other Municipalities to do the same.
