The Mayor of Dryden is calling her meeting with Ontario Finance Minister Dwight Duncan productive.
Anne Krassilowsky voiced the areas concerns during a pre-budget meeting
with Duncan yesterday in Thunder Bay.
Krassilowsky says forestry and providing immediate help for the ailing sector and the local economy dominated discussions.
Funding for small airports, infrastructure, the Trans-Canada Highway, troubles at border crossings, tourism and the downloading of Social Housing also highlighted talks.
With no promises, Duncan stated he hopes to respond to some of the
concerns in the 2008 provincial budget.
Krassilowsky will also talk forestry when she meets with
Natural Resources Minister Donna Cansfield in Thunder Bay on January 18th.
