Dryden Mayor Says He’s Keeping the Money

Dryden Mayor Craig Nuttall is playing hardball with the Province.
Nuttall says he has no plans on returning $600,000 in Provincial funds.
The Government is asking for the return of “Connecting Link” money that the City didn’t spend on construction of the Duke Street overpass.
Nuttall says he’s keeping the cheque.
Nuttall stresses that money is needed to fix Duke Street and notes other Municipalities have been able to keep the money they saved on infrastructure projects.
He says the City shouldn’t be punished for being fiscally responsible.
Nuttall says he’s relayed his concerns to Minister of Northern Development Michael Gravelle but has heard nothing back.
