A study is underway looking at the feasibility of Northwestern Ontario
leaving the Province to join Manitoba.
Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky says Municipal leaders have had enough of the McGuinty Liberals ignoring Northern Ontario and the forest crisis.
Krassilowsky says Manitoba Premier Gary Doer wasted
no time visiting the Pas when the community was hit with massive job losses.
Krassilowsky says she would seriously consider a move if the study
determines it would be an absolute positive step for the Northwest.
The only Municipal leader who has voiced his opposition is Fort Frances
Mayor Dan Onichuk who calls it a “fools road”.
