Regional communities wrestling with their budgets will have to wait a
little longer for the Kenora District Services Board.
The Board of Directors of the KDSB has defeated the 2006 budget that
called for a 2.8% increase to the municipal levy.
Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky voted against the budget and says she
followed a request from Council to follow a 0% percent hike.
The budget called for expenditures totaling $44-million.
Red Lake, Sioux Narrows and Kenora also voted against the budget.
