Across the Northwest, OPP detachments are pausing to salute and remember an east coast RCMP Constable who was killed last weekend.
Despite Nova Scotia being over 3,000 km from Dryden, local OPP stopped to salute RCMP Constable Heidi Stevensen who was murdered along with over 20 other Nova Scotians during the weekend.
Under normal circumstances, police detachments from across Canada would send delegates to Constable Stevensen’s funeral, but COVID-19 travel and crowd size restrictions make that impossible.
