It took 4-years of constant rejection and persistent lobbying, but Dryden is finally getting 2.16-million dollars to reconstruct the Duke Street Overpass.
The project was identified as a top priority for repair several years ago, but yearly funding requests to the Province fell on deaf ears.
City Manager Arie Hoogenboom says they have received the ‘Connecting Link Funding’.
An engineering report released a couple of years ago stated that the Overpass was in dire need of repair and should be dealt with immediately.
