Dryden Overpass Market Opens Today

A new outdoor market opens today (Wednesday) in the City of Dryden.

Kailey Divers has created the “Dryden Overpass Market” and it is being held every second Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Clarks Bait & Tackle parking lot on Highway 17.

Because of the rain Tuesday, the inaugural event goes today.

“Just noticing in the evenings this great big, huge parking lot that is empty so I figured it would be a great spot to have a market with local vendors,” says Divers.

She says, “It’s important to focus on local people, local vendors, and everybody can come in. We’ve got myself, Foraged North, we have Huber’s Meats coming in, we also have some local charities selling some tickets.”

Local residents will also have their choice of fresh local produce to home baking, artists, crafter’s and home businesses.

Divers say this a great opportunity to showcase local businesses and talent and is encouraging everyone to come out.

In the future, Divers hopes to attract food vendors and even games and live music.
