Dryden Police Awards Ceremony

The Dryden Police Service recognized its staff and members of the public at a special ceremony Tuesday night.
A number of officers were thanked for their year’s of service as well as time of duty on the job.
Chief Shayne MacKinnon says protecting seniors and helping youth are officers main priorities.
Two local residents were also honoured.
Russ Trott received an award for his part in capturing a young home intruder who was wanted for other crimes.
Reino Huitika was also thanked for leading the kids bike helmet initiative.
Huitika and his Dairy Queen Brazier team partnered with City Police to offer the safety initiative.
