Dryden Police are urging the public to help with a sickening crime.
Chief Rob Davis says the incident of someone sticking a razor blade in a tootsie roll came in this morning.
Davis says the victim came forward at 11 a.m. and presented the tootsie roll with the razor blade in it.
He says the next step in the investigation is partnering up with the OPP Forensic Identification Unit in Kenora.
Davis says police are treating the case as serious and no other reports of candy being tampered with have come in.
He adds if any parents or children find any candy with razor blades in it, to try to minimize touching it.
He says it gives forensics a chance to examine it.
Dryden Police are asking parents and children to double-check their candy.
If anyone has any information contact Dryden Police or Crime Stoppers.
