Dryden Police Chief Target Of Attempted Scam

A reminder to never give out credit card or banking information over the phone.
This comes after someone foolishly tried to defraud Dryden Police Chief Rob Davis on the weekend.
Someone contacted him to say he was eligible for low interest rates on his credit cards.
The man then asked for a credit card number to complete the promotion.
Davis questioned the man with the name of his company, his location and a call back number.
The man stated he was calling from downtown Toronto, but the number on the call display was from the B.C. lower mainland.
