Dryden Police Final Numbers for 2011

Crime is up slightly in the City of Dryden.
The final statistics for 2011 show the number of calls for service jumped from 12,456 in 2010 to 13,030 last year.
Chief Rob Davis says break and enter calls spiked from 40 to 61.
Davis says most of 19 reports involving businesses were along Highway 17 and the CP Rail Line.
He plans to work closely with CP to resolve the issue.
Trouble with youth reports increased from 91 to 183.
Davis admits the numbers caught him by surprise.
But the Chief says he’s working with a number of partners to ensure are youth are kept busy and out of trouble.
Liquor licence act incidents also saw a dramatic increase. (335 from 232)
The final report for last year shows a decline in mischief, domestic assault and drug possession cases.
