Dryden Police Launching “Lock It Or Lose It” Campaign

It’s the time of year when some “Bad Santas” look to ruin the holiday season.

The Dryden Police Service is joining the provincial “Lock It OR Lose” campaign.

Inspector Ann Tkachyk says police officers, auxiliary officers and special constables will be out in full force patrolling area streets and parking lots checking to see if your vehicle is locked and valuables are left out of sight.

If they find your vehicle open, they will lock it for you and leave a note.

The notices also congratulate drivers who have secured their vehicle.

Between 2016 and 2017, there was an overall increase of 6% in auto thefts across Canada.
