Dryden Police are reminding folks if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Chief Rob Davis says there was a recent case where someone came across something posted on a website that looked more like a scam.
Davis says fortunately the customer knew about the product and caught on that it was a scam.
When it comes to shopping on sites such as Kijiji, Craigslist or classified adds, Davis says it’s important to do your research and make sure the item is from a legitimate seller.
In addition, Davis says never ever give your credit card number to someone you don’t know.
