Dryden Purple Pythons Win Kenora Tournament

A Gold medal performance for the Dryden Purple Pythons at a weekend Girls Hockey tournament in Kenora.

Dryden defeated Carmen, Manitoba 5-3 in the championship game.

They finished the event with a perfect record, scoring 19-goals and only allowing five.

Head Coach Cory Oltsher says it was a very impressive team effort both offensively and defensively, noting the girls showed individual and team improvement throughout the tournament.

Emma Bighead-Loon was outstanding in net for the Purple Pythons.

Drew Bachynski and Chelsea Oltsher each recorded 8 goals each on the weekend.

Alexa Houtz had 2 markers, while Julia Mitchell had 1.
