Dryden Recycling Program Running Smoothly

Dryden residents seem to be receptive to the new recycling system.

The program has found stability after being on shaky ground since the demise of the Northwestern Ontario Recycling Association.

Director of Engineering Brad Johns says people are better understanding what material is being accepted.

Johns says residents are being handed a card outlining the acceptable recyclables if they put out material that won’t be picked up.

Box board, metal containers, milk and juice cartons as well as most plastic bottles are now accepted with no sorting necessary.
