Municipal leaders from across the northwest are in Ottawa to meet with Provincial cabinet ministers.
It’s the Annual Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference.
Dryden Mayor Craig Nuttall says they have arranged three meetings.
Nuttall says they are sitting down with Aboriginal Affairs Minister Kathleen Wynne and Minister of Natural Resources Michael Gravelle.
City officials will also speak with a senior aid for the Minister of Health.
Nuttall says he’s been told that the province will not be handing out money, so the trip is more of a networking opportunity.
City finances, land ambulance and child care are among the issues expected to be brought up.
Nuttall will also be lobbying Minister Gravelle to deem Highway 17 through town an essential service in order to obtain funding for upgrades.
Nuttall is joined by Councilors Mary Trist and Ken Moss as well as Economic Development Manager James Harvey.
