A Dryden Resident ended up with a lump of coal in her bank account this holiday after responding to an email scam. The resident received an email with CIBC letter head asking for her banking information for security purposes. After responding to the email, her account was cleaned out of over 2 grand.
Police and financial institutions remind people not to give out personal information of any type when contacted by email. Contact your Financial institution to make sure any emails or correspondence are legit.
