Golf season is officially upon us.
Eagles Landing in Dryden opened Wednesday for members and on Friday for the general public.
In the meantime, Jason Boyer, the Manager of Community Services says the City of Dryden continues to seek funding to rebuild one of the outbuildings.
That’s instead of fixing up three buildings, which was originally proposed.
“There’s two washrooms in the existing building and they would be incorporated into a new building,” Boyer told city council Monday night.
Boyer adds the projected costs are about $670,000, but that doesn’t cover everything.
“It doesn’t include demolition costs, but I believe we can probably do that internally. There’s not a lot left there and it’s mostly wood.”
The City of Dryden would contribute $170,000 towards any funding they get from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
The city is seeking a grant of $500,000 from the NOHFC.
