Dryden Rotary Continues Support For Local Projects

The Dryden Rotary Club has approved funding for various youth, poverty and community projects.

Youth Minor Sports is getting a big boost to the tune of $25,000.

The Dryden Food Bank is on the receiving end of $15,000 for its protein project.

The Tamarack House in Thunder Bay is welcoming $7,500.

Here are the total allocations:
Scholarships (Dryden): $6,000
Scholarships (Red Lake): $3,000
Scholarships (Ignace): $2,000
Adventures in Technology: $2,100
MUNA (3 Teams): $2,400
Dryden Food Bank (protein project): $15,000
Youth Minor Sports: $25,000
Dryden Native Friendship Centre (kitchen equipment): $5,000
Dryden Entertainment Series: $3,000
1st Dryden Scouts (camping gear): $6,000
New Prospect Public School (playground enhancement): $2,500
Tamarack House-Thunder Bay Regional Hospital: $7,500

The money comes from Rotary Radio Bingo on CKDR every Thursday night.
