Plomp says he was hurt in the war, but survived, stressing her hear is with all of the men who fight for their country.

Plomp also says Remembrance Day is special for her since her parents got married on November 11th, 1950.

President-Elect Peter Marshall says he lost an Uncle in World War II.

Marshall says he survived the Invasion of Normandy on D-Day, but died a month later during the march inward towards Caen.
