Dryden Rotary Supports Ten Initiatives

It’s still mid-November but that hasn’t stopped the Dryden Rotary Club from getting into the festive spirit.

Christmas Cheer and Food Bank programs across the region are benefiting from Rotary Charity Foundation funding.

-Dryden Food Bank: $12,500
-Community Support Centre NW-Christmas Cheer Hamper Program: $5,000
-Red Lake Chukuni Christmas Cheer: $3,500
-Mary Berglund Community Health Centre (Christmas Cheer and Food Bank): $3,000
-Ear Falls Chukuni Christmas Cheer: $1,000

The applications were approved under the Rotary ‘Youth, poverty, community and literacy’ mandate and funds were available thanks to you and your participation in the weekly Rotary Radio Bingo on CKDR.

Other groups and initiatives benefiting include:

-Dryden Ski Club (equipment): $16,000
-Ghost Lake Trail Alliance (brochures/directional sign): $4,000
-Dryden Minor Hockey Breakfast Club (equipment): $2,000
-Little Free Libraries (materials): $1,000
-Free Reading/Be Reading (community sponsorship): $750
