The first Dryden snowmobile drag races are being deemed a success.
Some 51-racers competed in 110-races on Wabigoon Lake on Saturday.
Kris Wood is the President of the Dryden Snow Drag Association and he says they saw about 600-spectators at the peak of the races.
Organizers will be gathering feedback from participants and spectators in order to expand next year.
Laura Zajarny says they received great support from the community, sponsors and volunteers to host a great event.
Zajarny notes they will be having another race on the 24th of February and 24th of March with a year end wind up and hope for the same success in the 2019 year.
Here are the class standings, First and second place winners.
