More people are stopping in Dryden!
Visitor numbers have increased significantly this summer according to the Dryden Chamber of Commerce.
As of August 1st, 2,200 people stopped at the Tourist Centre, up 700 from 2001.
Chmaber Manager Rick Lindmeyer says the new tourist station has helped a lot.
He says 25% of the people that stop say they were listening to the FM station.
Lindmeyer adds they plan to jazz up Highway signs in the near future.
The number of e-mail and telephone inquiries are on the rise as well.
