Dryden Trapper’s Council Generosity

Machin Fire Chief Todd Montgomery accepts a $1500 donation from Dryden Trapper’s Council Secretary Treasurer Geoff Hartley to purchase scene lighting which illuminates Firefighter flag personnel while working at accident scenes on area highways.

The Dryden Trapper’s Council holds an annual all day workshop and presentation to raise funds for local community organizations. They host a dinner prepared by volunteers and served by 4H members, followed by an auction with donations from individuals and businesses.

This year, they raised $20,000 which was delegated to the following non profit committees and organizations:

– Legion Poppy Fund

– Dryden, Oxdrift , Machin Volunteer Fire Departments

– Adult/Teen Challenge

– Dryden Amateur Emergency Regional Radio

– Dryden Go Getters

– Machin Revitalization Committee

– Lions Guide Dog Program

– DHS Outdoor Program

– AG Centre kitchen upgrades

– 4H Steer Club
