Dryden Woman Calling for Return of CKY Winnipeg

A Dryden woman is petitioning Shaw Cable to reverse a decision in
programming.
Channel 8 has flipped from CKY Winnipeg to CJBN Kenora across the
district.
June Parker says a number of residents are upset with the change.
Parker is leading a campaign to have Shaw Cable reverse its
decision and is asking the public to phone, e-mail or fax the company’s
corporate office.
A Shaw spokesperson says the move is aimed at getting more local
content, but Parker says a number of people from this area watch CKY to get
the news, weather, entertainment and road conditions in Winnipeg.
