Dryden’s Chris Pronger Going To The Hall Of Fame

Dryden’s Chris Pronger is headed to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The towering defenceman was named to the Class of 2015 at an announcement in Toronto Monday afternoon.

Pronger is the only defenceman to win the Hart Trophy as the league’s most-valuable player in the last 43-years and he won the Norris trophy as top defenceman the same year. (2000)

Drafted by the Hartford Whalers, the star blueliner won a Stanley Cup with Anaheim in 2007.

He also has two Olympic gold medals.

The 6-foot-6 Pronger was more known for his intimating style of play and ability to crush an opponent.

Injuries shortened his career but strangely, Pronger, who is still an active player, was traded to the Arizona Coyotes in a draft day deal.

He will formally be inducted into the Hall of Fame at a ceremony in November.

Pronger is joined by Nicklas Lidstrom, Sergei Fedorov, Phil Housley and Angela Ruggiero.

Bill Hay and Peter Karmanos were also inducted as builders.
