Dryden’s Geoff Kitt Wins CCHL Top Award

The accolades continue to pile up for Dryden’s Geoff Kitt.

The Central Canadian Hockey League has announced that the Carleton Place Canadians forward is the winner of the prestigious Arthur K Nielsen Memorial Award.

The honour goes to the player who combines hockey excellence with academic success.

Kitt is currently taking four courses at Algonquin with marks all in the A-plus range.

The captain of the Canadians has also excelled on the ice, with 20-goals, 36-assists and 56-points in 55-games.

He has also been a leader in the community, with extensive volunteer work, leading classroom programs and participating in memorials and fundraiser’s for various charitable organizations.

Kitt has committed to Mercyhurst in the NCAA next year.
