Dryden’s Ian McMillan and the Team Calvert rink have proved they can play among the best curlers in the world.
The Winnipeg team gave world champion Niklas Edin and his Swedish rink everything they could handle in a 7-5 set-back Wednesday morning at the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Boost National event in Conception Bay, Newfoundland.
McMillan curled 84% throwing second stones.
They return to the ice at 5:30 central time against Northern Ontario’s Brad Jacobs.
