Dryden’s New Sewage Treatment Plant Delayed

On budget, but not on schedule.
That’s the verdict on the construction of Dryden’s new Sewage Treatment Plant.
Director of Public Works and Engineering Mike Louttit says the project is 2-weeks behind schedule and he anticipates further delays due to challenges on the design side.
Louttit says the contractor needs a specialized rig to drill 90-foot deep holes.
He notes that piece of equipment isn’t available until October.
Louttit doesn’t expect to see the Plant operational until next September or October.
Louttit stresses the delay won’t cost the City any more money and notes the project is on budget right now.
