Dryden city council has announced its position on the softwood lumber dispute.
Council has passed a resolution which says the city is opposed to any agreement that would be harmful to the region and its economy.
Dryden council feels it is important to pass a resolution and take a firm position on the matter.
So far, the region has been fortunate with no layoffs reported by forestry companies in the Northwest as a result of the impending U.S. duties.
