For a second year in a row, it was an all Northwestern Ontario tilt in the Winkler, Manitoba Boys High School Hockey Tournament, and for the second year in a row, the Dryden Eagles left as champions.
The Eagles beat the Kenora Broncos 1-0 in a shootout in the Championship game.
Blair Dingwall scored the winning goal, while Kim Wildhaber shut the door on the Broncos.
The Eagles won despite being outshot 38-15.
Dryden went undefeated during the Tournament.
The Dryden Eagle Girls were also in Manitoba for a weekend Tournament.
The Blue and Gold defeated Fort Frances 2-1 in the ‘B’ Side Final of the Piper Challenge in Winnipeg.
