The magic number for the Dryden Eagles to clinch first place in the Girls High School Hockey standings is down to 1.
The Eagles inched one step closer with a 4-1 win over the Beaver Brae Broncos in Kenora Tuesday night.
Lauren Shoguchi was a one player wrecking crew.
Shoguchi had a goal and 3 assists and was instrumental in killing off 7-penalty’s.
Kristen Bartlett had 2-goals and Karly Tardiff added a single.
Bree Brown stopped 28-shots for the victory.
Dryden can clinch first with a win in Keewatin next Monday against Thomas Aquinas.
