For a team that has hardly practised together, the Dryden Eagle Girls Hockey team looks pretty good.
The Eagles held off a persistant Fort Frances squad Saturday night to win their season opener 6-4.
The Eagles held leads of 3-0 and 4-1, before the Muskies stormed back to tie.
Kristen Bartlett was the hero scoring late in the third short-handed. She also added an insurance marker on the power-play and also scored 5 on 5. Morgan Church, Claire Paquette and Alexis Reid also found the back of the net. Bree Brown was outstanding in net making 38 saves for the win.
