A popular landmark store, Eagle Junction, on the corner of Hwy 17 and 594 was destroyed in an early evening fire Wednesday evening.
Machin and Oxdrift volunteer Fire Services were on scene but the fire had already spread through much of the store.
Fire vehicles had to haul water to the scene.
Eagle Junction was a locally owned fuel, convenience, bait and souvenir shop.
