The Chief of Eagle Lake First Nation was not at all surprised when Kenora-Rainy River MP Bob Nault was replaced as Indian Affairs Minister last week.
Arnold Gardner says Nault accomplished a lot while in Cabinet but he believes it was time for change.
Gardner says he looks forward in meeting the new minister, Andy Mitchell and presenting his communities concerns.
He says economic development and improving infrastructure are his main concerns.
Gardner admits Indian Affairs is a tough portfolio to handle but feels Mitchell will bring fresh ideas to the table.
