St. Patrick’s Day is on Monday, March 17th. Eagle River is celebrating!
Thanks once again to the community volunteers who have stepped forward to create another amazing scene for Eagle River visitors and residents.
The following description and pictures were submitted by Eagle River community member and volunteer – Connie Calvert!

It’s that time of year and we’ve turned our park into a scene of Irish green. Linda Carter’s art, Barb and Warren Harrison’s woodwork and Connie Calvert’s creativity meet you as you enter our little hamlet to enjoy the scene.
The Peeters/Kirst tree dressed in Irish style,
Embellished with sparkly green by Tanya Larson to make you smile.
The Kathy Pippy-Evans tree decorated in her absence with lucky shamrocks by Lisa Durocher,
Come check it out, don’t delay!
The Orin and Briar tree was brought to life by Connie Calvert and Carmene Hampe,
Gram Ursula Rhyner is still healing you see.
Tanya Larson’s tree is next in line,
Dressed in bright gold with hues of lime.
Followed by Lisa’s Durocher’s creative delight,
All decked out with handmade coins and shamrocks, a beautiful sight.
The Jaeger trees finish off our green fun,
Wishing you the luck of the Irish everyone.
When you drive by and take in our display,
May prosperity and good fortune come your way!
Born in Cochenour a “few” decades ago, he lives and breathes Sunset Country. He's been on-air for CKDR and you for over 38 years and by his own admission he's still trying to get it right! When not on-air Richard likes to cosplay as 'Spider-Dad McCarthy'. Listen weekday mornings from 6 to 10 on CKDR and on 'the web' at YourSunsetCountry.ca.
