It was a goaltending clinic to remember in game two of the All-Ontario Boys High School Hockey championships in Fort Frances Tuesday.
Dryden’s Jace Gamble stopped 30-shots and Campbellford’s Philip Boivin answered with 28-saves as the two teams battled to a 1-1 tie.
Keith Wrolstad was set up by Zach Lugli on the powerplay in the second period for Dryden.
The 5th seeded Flames answered about three minutes later.
The Eagles were 1-8 with the man advantage with 10-shots.
The result means it will come down to Wednesday to see if the Eagles will advance.
A St. Mary’s win over Campbellford and a Dryden win over Widdifield and the Eagles will play in the elite eight.
Game time is 11:15 at the Ice for Kids Arena.
Meantime, the host Muskies also tied.
Fort Frances fought back from a 3-0 deficit to tie Immaculata 3-3.
The Muskies are now 1-0-1.
The St. Thomas Aquinas Saints fell to 1-1 as they lost 6-1 to the 4th ranked Belle River Nobles.
