Both Eagles hockey teams went to Fort Frances to deliver a message but neither found the result they were looking for as the boys lost 4-3 and the girls tied 1-1 against the Muskies. In Boys action the Eagles didn’t capitalize on their chances and lost for the 3 time in 4 meetings this season with the Muskies. Ben Bartlett scored with just over a miunute to pull the Eagles to within one but the Dryden couldn’t notch the equalizer. Andrew Skene and Ryan Runge also scored for Dryden. With the win the Muskies clinched first place while the Eagles will need three wins to take second away from the Red Lake Rams.
In Girls action the first round matchups are set and the team the Eagles will meet in the first round may have gained some momentum after scoring a 1-1 tie with favoured Eagles. Carly Brown scored the lone marker for Dryden. The girl Eagles will stil have home Ice Advantage when the teams meet for game one Friday February 27th.
