For a team that hasn’t been together for very long, the Dryden Eagles Boys High School Hockey team will gladly take these two points.
Randy Russell scored the winner midway through the third as the Eagles defeated the visiting St. Thomas Aquinas Saints 3-2 Wednesday night.
Dryden did have some help as Zach Lugli returned after a handful of games in Junior to add a goal and an assist.
Cale Oberg also found the back of the net.
Jace Gamble made some big stops late to secure the win.
The Eagles had only one full practice together heading into the game due to football and other commitments.
