A Matt Kellar goal off a turnover with 2:39 left propelled the Dryden Eagles to a 6-5 win over the Queen Elizabeth Warriors in Game 1 of the Best-of-3 Final Tuesday night.
The Warriors battled back from 2-0, 4-2 and 5-3 deficits before tying the game middway through the third.
Matt Pitchenese led Dryden with two goals and two assists.
Zack Lugli, Cam Zappitelli and Keith Wrolstad added singles.
Cortez Favot led the Warriors with a pair of markers, while Shayne McKay, Kendall Schultz and Andy Brunton also found the back of the net.
Dryden outshot the Warriors 34-30.
Game two is Thursday night in Sioux Lookout.
