The Dryden Eagles Boys High School Hockey team was able to overcome a slow start en route to a 6-3 win over the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints Thursday night.
The Saints jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on three shots, but Dryden bounced back with the score tied at 3 after one period of play.
After that the Eagles dominated to secure their third consecutive victory.
Zack Lugli led the way with 3-goals and an assist, while Randy Russell dished out four helpers.
Liam Wrolstad, Pierce Brown and Kohl Wrolstad scored for Dryden.
The Eagles outshot the Saints 53-27, with Jace Gamble picking up the win.
Dryden now prepares for a first place showdown next Tuesday in Fort Frances.
