Eagles Football Team Shutout In League Awards

It appears the record breaking season for the Dryden Eagles Football team went unnoticed outside northwestern Ontario.

The Eagles were basically shut out at the recent Winnipeg High School Football League awards banquet.

They failed to pick up any of the League’s major awards, despite finishing the season with a perfect record and the Currie Division championship.

The only players nominated for an award were Liam Wrolstad and Stephen Dormer, while Geoff Zilkalns and Brian Realini were mentioned in the coaches category.

The League also unveiled its All-Division team, which only saw four Dryden players on a star-studded roster making the cut.

The defence is represented by linebacker Gunner Anderson and defensive back Thomas Moline, while linemen Cam Desjardins and Dylan Kruger make up the Eagle contingent on the offensive side of the ball.
