The Dryden High School Girls Hockey team had their best offensive effort of the season but fell short, dropping a 7-5 decision to Kenora Tuesday night.
Carly Brown led the way with 2 goals and an assist while Sarah Montgomery, Felicia Fletcher and Caitlin Egli added singles.
Despite the loss Coach Clinton Bruetsch believes his club is starting to turn the corner.
Dryden is now 1-2 on the season.
The Boys offense was also clicking as Dryden skated away with a 7-4 win over the Kenora Broncos.
Dryden was behind 4 separate times in the game but blew it wide open with 5 unanswered goals.
Scoring for the Eagles were David Spicer, Adam Bryck, Brian Montgomery, Scott Lund, Ryan Helbling, Austin Heile and Jared Krantz.
Jonathan Furkalo picked up his third win.
Eagles Co-Coach Darryl Mousseau says he was pleased to see some offensive output from his third and fourth lines.
Dryden is 4-0 and 4 points up on Kenora for first.
The Boys will face Red Lake for a 2 game road trip starting Friday, while the Girls will prepare for Fort Frances next Tuesday.
