A split decision for the Dryden Eagles Girls High School Hockey team on day one of the Portage tournament in Manitoba.
The Girls first faced a divisional rival and dropped a 1-0 decision to the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints.
Jessie Pettinger was sensational in net for Dryden but the Eagles offence struggled to support her.
The offence hit their stride in Game #2 as they put up six goals in a 6-0 win over Springfield.
Leah Balla had the hat trick, while Jess Carter, McKenna Corvello and Cali Lappage added singles.
