It was a special start to the Girls High School Hockey Semi-Final for the Dryden Eagles. The Eagles were 2-2 on the powerplay and perfect in 7 penalty kills in a 2-1 win over the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints Tuesday night.
Lindy Leclerc scored the winner from behind the net in the third, while Calli Lappage also found the back of the net.
Dryden outshot the Saints 31-30, but Hannah Zilkalns had to come up big in the third with 17-saves.
The Eagles can end the series Friday night at home.
