It was just not meant to be for the Dryden Eagles Girls and Boys high school hockey teams as both were swept on home ice. In boys play the Fort Frances Muskies scored a 5-2 win over the Eagles after building a 4-0 lead through 2 periods. Scoring for the Eagles were Andrew Skeen and Austin Helie. Jonathon Furkalo faced 33 shots in the loss. In girls play the Eagles let a 2-1 3rd period lead slip away and fell 3-2 to the Kenora Broncos. Scoring for the Eagles were Kim Rothlisberger and Nicki Kruger. Kerry Anderson suffered the loss between the pipes.
