Eagles Offence Sputters Against The Muskies

The Dryden Eagles High School Hockey teams made the trip to the ‘Duke’ in Couchiching First Nation for the first time on Wednesday but the offence ended up staying at home.

Both the Boys and Girls were blanked by the Fort Frances Muskies.

On the Girls side, Fort Frances would score midway through the third period and the Muskies withstood a furious rally in a 1-0 win.

Hannah Zilkalns was sensational in net, only to be victimized by a bad bounce in the only goal allowed.

In Boys action, Dryden couldn’t get things going and only managed 9-shots on net in a 4-0 loss.

Jesse Pettinger kept the Eagles in the game with a 40-save effort.

The Boys head to Winkler, Manitoba Thursday afternoon for a weekend Tournament.
