Eagles Out at OFSAA

The Dryden Eagles deserved a better fate, but the Girls are out at the All-Ontario Finals in the Belleville Area.
The Eagles fell to Bishop MacDonnell 2-1 Wednesday morning at CFB Trenton.
The Eagles struck first with Ahnicka Bruetsch finding the back of the net.
Dryden carried a 1-0 lead into the third period, when the Celtics came on.
A 4-4 goal and a power-play goal in the final frame was the difference as the Celtics advanced to the Quarter-Final, eliminating the Eagles.
Dryden finished with a 1-2 record however they battled from the start against one of toughest pools in OFSAA.
The Eagles will leave the Belleville-area Thursday morning and will spend a majority of the day in Toronto.
The Girls once again represented Dryden with absolute class and were the story of the tournament with their performance on and off the ice and with the score of parents, fans and former players who made the trip to cheer on the NWOSSA Champion Dryden Eagles.
