Eagles Pick Up Gold Medal at NORWOSSA

The Dryden Eagles are the 2009 NORWOSSA champions in Junior Boys volleyball. The Eagles downed the Fort Frances Muskies in 4 sets Thursday afternoon in Kenora to pick up gold. The Junior girls basketball team lost steam after an emotional semi-final win, dropping a 35-24 decision to Fort Frances in the championship game. Still the Eagle Girls go home with silver. The Senior Boys Volleyball Final pitted two long two rivals, in the end the Beaver Brae Broncos defeated Dryden in 3 sets. The game feautred two of the best in a hard hitting affair and Dryden would go home with silver. In the Senior Girls Basketball final, Kenora tripped up the Eagles 30-28, to advance to the final. The Broncos would lose the Championship game 26-13.
